Rachel Brathen is a Swedish native, New York Times best-selling author, serial entrepreneur, and international yoga teacher living in Aruba with her husband Dennis and their baby girl Lea Luna.
Rachel is the founder of one of the first online yoga platforms, the now-retired oneOeight.com, which was the most successful crowd-funded yoga project of all time. That platform has since grown and transformed into the Yoga Girl site and is now made up of a vast community of dedicated practitioners from all over the world looking to cultivate balance, create space for inner healing, and to deepen their yoga practice.
Rachel is also the owner of Island Yoga - the largest yoga studio in the Caribbean, where she hosts yoga teacher trainings, retreats, workshops, and classes year-round.
Giving back to the community has always been at the center of all of Rachel’s initiatives. She runs two non-profit organizations: Sgt. Pepper’s Friends; an animal rescue foundation based in Aruba, and Yoga Girl® Foundation, an organization benefitting women and children in need.
Now, along with all of you, we're co-creating pantry staples here at Fämily Foods!
Organic Oat Flour, Organic Chickpea Flour, Organic Chia Seed Powder, Organic Banana Powder, Baking Powder (Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Baking Soda, Monocalcium Phosphate), Himalayan Salt, Baking Soda
- Made in a facility that also processes soy, milk, eggs, peanuts and other tree nuts
Combine 1/3 cup pancake mix with 1/3 cup water and mix until batter is smooth. Let the batter rest for a moment to thicken. Heat pan and add a dash of oil (we like coconut!). Scoop the batter in and lower the heat slightly. When the first bubbles start to pop and the pancake becomes golden brown, flip! Cook until second side is golden (15-20 seconds). Serve with fruit or maple syrup in the morning, enjoy them plain as an afternoon snack, or prepare with veggies as a savory dinner!

We choose our ingredients very carefully, with the help from you! With a lot of attention paid to organic certified and sustainably sourced ingredients, we utilize our combined 15+ years of experience in the food world to work hard to bring only the best to the table. You helped us make so many decisions from sugar or no sugar (even if it was maple or coconut!)? Natural flavorings or not? Chickpea or pea protein? We had many iterations of the pancake mix until we landed on just the right balance between taste, texture, ingredients, and value.
Easy, fast, nutritious and delicious! I have good energy after I eat them and don’t feel weighted down or tired like I usually do after pancakes.
To quickly and easily be able to whip up some pancakes, push a banana bread in the Owen or mix it to a nut bread knowing it’s all good for me and my fam is a life savior. Love the flavor
This is not your regular pancake mix!! I tasted the batter while mixing up my first batch and was a little taken aback - it wasn't the normal super sweet mix flavor I'm used to and I was a little concerned, but HOLY MOLY is it delicious all baked up with a little maple syrup. This is a fantastic pancake, but it has a fresh new twist and taste. Good thing I ordered a box of 6 to start with because I keep sharing them with friends they're so good - I want everyone to try!
LOVE LOVE LOVE...Keep up the amazing work Yoga Girl
I am not a pancake person, but this mix makes the best pancakes. They aren’t ultra sweet which I love because it gives you the opportunity to make them sweet or savory. I haven’t made banana bread yet, but I am looking forward to it! I will be subscribing monthly.
